Pleasure Craft Operator Card
A Pleasure Craft Operator Card is required by anyone operating any type of recreational powered watercraft and is now required to show proof of competency. This course is for both power and sail boat owners, dinghy owners, personal watercraft owners and also applies to your spouse, partners, friends, or guests who take the helm of your boat or jet ski. Fines for non-compliance are now applicable.The Boating Basics course will prepare you for the Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC) examination. It is accredited by Transport Canada.

- Canadian Aids to Navigation Systems
- Trailering, Transporting
- Getting Underway
- Anchoring
- Docking
- Being Weather Wise
- Trip Planning
- PCOC Examination
Pleasure Craft Operator Card
- Duration: 8 hours
- Instructor: Certified Power Squadron Instructor
- Completion: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam
- Card: Is valid for the life time of the holder

The Pleasure Craft Operators Card issued by the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron is recognized and approved by the US National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and the US Coast Guard.
